Prioritizing your health.
Our approach to insurance.
At Womens Integrative Counseling we are a self pay practice.
This means that your counselor will be able to give you the best possible care without the limitations that can come through working with insurance companies. Whether you want to meet in person, virtually, or over the phone, you as the client can decide what works best for your schedule instead of having to choose only what insurance companies dictate. Clinical treatment can also be impacted as most insurance companies require a diagnosis for coverage. This diagnosis then becomes part of your permanent medical record. With self pay, your counselor is able to ensure confidentiality by only providing a diagnosis if it is deemed necessary and helpful, and is kept securely in your client file.
Upon request, your counselor can provide you with a monthly Superbill to send to your insurance for reimbursement. Please note that insurance reimbursement is not guaranteed but can be helpful in covering the cost of therapy.

Good Faith Estimate.
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059.
• You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services.
• Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
• If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
